Bento # 1
When I go out, I usually prefer to have a packed meal or snacks for my children. It's conveniently ready when they say they're hungry, economical and I believe it's healthier than those prepared outside (oily and has additives). In the wake of m going to preschool next year, I also thought I should start practicing making him eat out of a lunchbox.
Recently I've been so obsessed with looking at bento (japanese for packed meals) pictures and have been itching to try it out for m. Even I want to eat out of one, for it's more fun to eat when they're all lovingly and neatly cut up and arranged in cute containers. For our outing today, I packed some cut up chicken katsu, steamed broccoli florets, tomato sauce, apples and biscuit sticks. He also has a cute drink bottle with water inside to quench his thirst.
