Instead of buying commercially ready chicken nuggets/fingers, why not try making them at home. This way you know that you're serving purely lean chicken meat. They're so simple to make and taste yummy.
Ingredients:
(375 gm) chicken breast, coarsely chopped
(2) sliced white bread
(1) egg
(80 gm) onion
(2 tsp) chicken stock powder
(2 tsp) garlic salt
dry, packaged breadcrumbs
canola oil, for pan frying
Combine onion, bread, egg and chicken in the food processor until even in consistency. Place in a bowl and add the seasonings. Form into small balls, roll on breadcrumbs and shape into nuggets. To make chicken fingers, make smaller balls and roll lightly on breadcrumbs. Then shape them into fingers before rolling again on more breadcrumbs. Pan fry until well cooked and golden in colour. Drain on paper towels.
